Welcome to the Magnolia Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society!
Serving North Florida: Leon County, plus Gadsden, Hamilton, Jefferson and Madison counties
The mission of the Florida Native Plant Society is to promote the preservation, conservation and restoration of the native plants and native plant communities of Florida. FNPS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
The Magnolia Chapter is one of 37 Florida Native Plant Society (FNPS) chapters throughout the state. It is through our chapters that we provide most of our opportunities to participate in preserving Florida's native flora, opportunities to learn about our natural heritage and teach others, and the values inherent in interacting with others who have similar interests. Members of our 37 FNPS chapters include beginners and experts alike, but are all united in their interest in learning about and preserving Florida's native plants.
Chapter Activities:
- Hold monthly meetings with informative presentations and programs. Guests are always welcome.
- Run monthly educational field trips to interesting areas.
- Participate in local events as part of outreach.
- Work on projects to preserve native plants or habitats.
